About Dr. Cannella

Dr. Cannella graduated with his bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Texas in Austin, Texas and his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He then went on to complete his internship, residency, and fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center in the world-renowned Texas Medical Center. 

Dr. Cannella is double board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Pain Medicine in Pain Management.

In 2007 he joined his former colleagues Dr. Joseph Toothaker-Alvarez and Dr. Eduardo Garcia as the third and final partner to date at Space City Pain Specialists. His efforts have been paramount in establishing the Space City Pain brand in southeast Houston. 

In his free time, Dr. Cannella enjoys cycling with Dr. Garcia and spending time with his family. 

Dr. Cannella is fluent in Italian.
