Dr. Joseph T. Alvarez
Dr. Alvarez is triple board certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine and the American Board of Medical Specialties in Anesthesiology and Pain Management. Dr. Alvarez partnered with Dr. Eduardo A. Garcia in 2001 to found Space City Pain Specialists, a new paradigm in the treatment of chronic pain. Dr. Alvarez's special interests are in neuromodulation and intrathecal drug delivery systems utilizing micro-dosing in the treatment of chronic painful conditions. Dr. Alvarez speaks Spanish fluently.

Dr. Eduardo A. Garcia
Dr. Garcia is triple board certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine and the American Board of Medical Specialties in Anesthesiology and Pain Management. Though he practices in a private setting, he is also a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Department of Anesthesiology at UTMB Galveston and is involved in physician proctoring for advanced interventional pain management techniques. Dr. Garcia partnered with Dr. Joseph T. Alvarez in 2001 to found Space City Pain Specialists, a new paradigm in the treatment of chronic pain. Dr. Garcia speaks Spanish fluently.

Dr. S. Jeffrey Cannella
Dr. Cannella is triple board certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine and the American Board of Medical Specialties in Anesthesiology and Pain Management. Dr. Cannella joined Space City Pain Specialists in 2007 and opened our second office on the Gulf Freeway at Fuqua in the summer of 2009. He has special interest in advanced applications of interventional pain medicine techniques such as neuromodulation. Dr. Cannella is fluent in Italian.

Anita Gonzalez, Physician Assistant Certified to Dr. Joseph T. Alvarez
Anita Gonzalez is a Physician Assistant Certified who earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from The College of Charleston in South Carolina. She earned a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies in 2007 from The University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. Anita is licensed to practice as a PA in the State of Texas and is certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants.

Melinda Moore, Physician Assistant Certified to Dr. Eduardo Garcia
Melinda Moore PA-C graduated from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science and a certificate in Physician Assistant Studies. Melinda is very active in physician assistant professional organizations including Texas Academy of Physician Assistants (TAPA) and American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA). Melinda is licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Texas and certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants.

Denise Jarbath, PA-C, Physician Assistant Certified to Dr. S. Jeffrey Cannella
Denise Jarbath graduated with a Bachelor's degree and a Physician’s Assistant Certificate, from the St. John's University/Bayley Seton Hospital in the State of New York. She earned a Masters in Physician’s Assistant Studies from the Nebraska Medical Center School of Medicine, the Department of Physicians Assistant Education in 2000. She is licensed to practice as a Physician’s Assistant in the State of Texas and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician’s Assistants.

She is fluent in French, English, Spanish and Creole.
